Installation Information
The replacement procedure involves the following steps:
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the existing throttle body unit.
- Remove mounting fasteners securing the existing throttle body to the intake manifold.
- Carefully remove the existing throttle body.
- Install the new throttle body assembly onto the mounting surface and secure with specified torque of mounting fasteners.
- Connect the electrical connector to the new throttle body.
- Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Perform procedures as required by the vehicle's service manual for electronic throttle control system relearning/initialization.
